Happy Monday

In 8th grade, my science teacher Mr. Chambers always encouraged us to stop and smell the roses. As an awkward eighth grader just trying to be cool, that was the LAST thing I really cared about. But today, as I am spending the afternoon in Newport Rhode Island with family, I'm excited to see the mansions lining the Atlantic Ocean where the sand is almost white. I'm looking forward to breathing in the fresh cool ocean air and simply soaking in the moments with my family. Today, I plan to stop and smell the roses.
Although it's Monday and most are hard at work, I hope everyone can find a moment to stop and smell the roses that are everywhere around you. Absorb in the moments that will so quickly pass and hug those that you love.
