Cortney and Scott

They met sophomore year on a ski trip, while attending Point Loma University . They didn't start dating until they saw each other again many months later. Scott finally gained some courage to ask Cortney out to a breakfast at the The Mission in San Diego. They chatted, smiled and began the process of creating a great friendship. Although Cortney wasn't quite looking for a relationship, Scott didn't give up. He waited for the right time and finally as God worked on both of their hearts, they began falling in love. After graduation, Cortney moved to Idaho and Scott moved to Argentina for ten months as he had previously planned before graduation. As time passed, Scott made plans to move to Idaho to be with Cortney and this past April, Scott proposed and asked for Cortney's hand in marriage. I had the WONDERFUL privilege of documenting Cortney and Scott's engagement this past week in California. I absolutely adore Cortney and Scott's personality and style. I LOVE how everytime Cortney smiles or even simply begins to talk, her eyes can tell a story in themselves. Smiling eyes just make me happy! She is not to mention gorgeous but the best thing about Cortney is her heart. She is such a sweetheart and I feel so honored to be shooting such a wonderful couple. I loved watching how loving Scott was with Cortney. His gentle spirit was so courteous and uplifting and it is evident Scott wears his love on his sleeve for Cortney. As Stephen and I finished shooting the session, Stephen mentioned to me that Scott is "one of those guys I would love to be friends with." They definitely are two people you could spend an entire afternoon around and just have a great time.
