Last week, Stephen and I made our final stop in San Diego to document and celebrate Carrie and Greg's wedding. The weather was warm and the venue was perfect for a classic vintage wedding. I of course was drooling over every detail since I myself LOVE vintage things! Carrie's hair, makeup, dress, vail and even her changing room were perfect. The ceremony and reception was held at The Darlington House in La Jolla. The house was established in 1925 and contains the most beautiful, colorful, and detailed rooms that helped make this wedding so unique. I wish I had the entire day to just photograph Carrie and Greg around the property. They are such a stunning couple together and they truly looked like a 1940's starlet couple straight out of hollywood.
I first met Greg in college at Point Loma University. We always chatted in graphic design class and yelled at our computer screens when we would get frustrated with technology. Well, maybe I was the only one yelling but Greg was always positive and fun to be around. His sweet charm was easy to spend time around. I knew Carrie in College but didn't know her as well as I wish I did. She was always that girl on campus that always looked gorgeous and seemed like she was just simply fun to be around. It doesnt surprise me that they found each other irresistable. Although I didn't get to know Carrie or Greg as well as I wish I had, being apart of their wedding allowed me to see an entirely new side of their relationship that I am honored to have been a part of. They met at in Carrie's senior year and Greg's freshman year and dated their way to marriage. I LOVED watching them interact and they seem to compliment each other so perfectly. Thank you Carrie and Greg for giving Stephen and I the opportunity to document your day. I also want to thank the wonderful Sean Walker for assisting Stephen and I during the wedding. It was an absolute pleasure working with you :) Click HERE to see a slideshow of the rest of the day.
I LOVE this shot of Carrie's dad waiting for her to walk down the long stair case so he can give her away to Greg. It was just too cute to pass up!
This dining room was amazing. SO cute and colorful!
Stephen took amazing detail shots of the day....
There were A LOT of characters at the wedding! I had a blast on the dance floor with everyone!
