Regardless of what your life is like right now, you have so much to be thankful for. nfortunately I missed writing something about how amazing my mom is on mothers day (Sorry mom! You know how much I love you!) Since today is fathers day and I can only reflect on how many amazing men I have in my life to look up to. Most of all, I look up to my dad. He is always positive, joyful and loving to those around him and I cant help but pray that I will have the same attitude as life continues on. There are so many things my parents have taught me growing up but the one thing that sticks out the most, is to believe in myself. One... View Full Post

his past week I met with a girl named Haily for a cup of coffee. Haily is a sophomore in high school with a huge love for photography, God, and people. We talked about starting a business, combining photography with a passion for God, and other inspirational things. Haily has a soft spirit. Her love for people was evident as we talked about the possibilities with photography. During our conversation, Haily asked me what I like the most about photography. I paused as I thought about it. It's been quite a tough journey through this adventure called pregnancy. I've ALWAYS wanted to be a mom and watching this little miracle grow inside me just makes me see the world through a brighter, more colorful lens. For a while though, I wasn't sure if I'd ever see... n 8th grade, my science teacher Mr. Chambers always encouraged us to stop and smell the roses. As an awkward eighth grader just trying to be cool, that was the LAST thing I really cared about. But today, as I am spending the afternoon in Newport Rhode Island with family, I'm excited to see the mansions lining the Atlantic Ocean where the sand is almost white. I'm looking forward to breathing in the fresh cool ocean air and simply soaking in the moments with my family. Today, I plan to stop and smell the roses. Although it's Monday and... View Full Post

oday we have an engagement shoot under the shadows of the New York City buildings. I can't even wait. Something about this city makes me feel inspired. Maybe it's because New York feels like the city of opportunities or maybe it's because I'm simply in a new place. Traveling does something for the soul and something for a visual artist. It inspires, it moves, and it encourages me to see things differently. Yesterday, we scoured the city for new photo spots for todays engagement shoot. It was a visual firework for me to see new places to... View Full Post
